Winter School 2022 Statistics
Introduction
Students of New Uzbekistan University set a goal to start “New Uzbekistan Winter School Program” for high school students. This program is going to immerse participants into NUU’s academic culture, by introducing them the heart of engineering and science. The lectures are going to be held online, by the professors of university, foreign students, guest lecturers and students of the NUU. The biggest aim of this project is to raise the popularity of NUU among high school students and collect the data about potential future students who might be interested in engineering and who would like to learn it in the NUU’s academic and social environment.
Goals
The Winter School sets followings as its prior goals:
- Raise interest of high school students towards science and engineering
- Introduce high school students to the New Uzbekistan University’s academic and social culture
- Increasing the activity among NUU’s students by posing a healthy challenge of running “Winter School” program
- Contribute to the overall increase in the education level among young generation of Uzbekistan
- Raising the popularity of NUU among the high schools students and among the general population
- Collect the data about potential future students for New Uzbekistan University
Structure
The Winter School is going to select 30 students. The selection process is going to consist of motivational letter and creative math test. The program is going to be held for a week. The subjects that will be taught are Math, Physics, Academic and Communicational Skills, Chemistry and Computer Literacy. The lectures are going to be held by university professors and after each lesson students will be given a home work. In addition to lectures, students will attend workshops by foreign students and guest lecturers. Upon completion of the program, students will be awarded.
